Hello.
Like many individuals out there, I receive a host of emails every week from various organizations (e.g., MoveOn, Care2, Defenders of Wildlife, NRDC [Natural Resources Defense Council], NARAL, etc.), asking me to sign a petition for whatever cause, issue, etc.
I sign and send many petitions, and I receive many responses. Currently, I live in New Hampshire, which means that I hear a lot from Senator John Sununu, Senator Judd Gregg, and Congressman Paul Hodes. As I read yet another letter from Judd Gregg this morning and then recycled it, I thought, "Hmmm...I wonder what would happen if more people were able to read this."
I don't know what will happen. Maybe nothing, but I'm going to go for it.
I am in graduate school right now, so I have little extra time to do this as well as I'd like (e.g., transcribing letters I get via snail mail, etc.). I may be moving after I graduate at the end of this month. So, once I settle down, perhaps in a different district, I'm going to start this up.
Perhaps, this blog could turn into a network of others who would be willing to do the same thing in other districts or in other states. Let me know if you'd be interested.
